Our ambition is to provide our clients with a tasteful, modest, and practical solution for a variety of sui generis projects which will also stand the test of time physically & aesthetically.

Implementing the latest environmental/ sustainable systems and practices is fundamental to our belief and design approach. Our process with singular and detailed orchestration; strives for an amaranthine and elegant feat. What sets apart our design practice from other design firms it is its unique aesthetic, material and spatial sensibility, and serious commitment to the environment and the health of those inhabiting or interacting with all Project constructs. This design studio is not guided by trends, instead, it is driven by a flexible dialogue with the spirit of the age and our relationship and interaction between the living and built environments.

Santiago Ortiz, Assoc. AIA, Principal

Santiago was born and raised in Colombia, South America. Ortiz moved to the United States (Providence, RI) to pursue Architecture and Fine Arts studies and a career in design and architecture. He graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design with degrees in Architecture (B. of Arch.) and Fine Arts (B.F.A) in 1999. Santiago relocated to Los Angeles, CA immediately after graduation and began working for small architecture firms focused on high end custom residences and boutique commercial spaces. Since launched in 2006, ORTIZ MEXIA PROJECTS, INC. has been building a reputation for a timeless and elegant style; from to individual pieces of furniture, cabinetry, built-ins, to new home construction, residential additions and alterations in the city Los Angeles, CA and along the Roaring Fork Valley, Colorado. His family home has been featured multiple times on the Venice, CA home and garden tour circuits, including the prestigious AIA| LA Chapter Home Tours. He has been Published on Interior Design Magazine and on the Los Angeles Times Print and Online Newspaper. Santiago is an Associate Member of The American Institute of Architects.
